BeyondTrust support of Red Hat OpenShift for deployment of the SRA Virtual Appliance
BeyondTrust is pleased to announce a significant enhancement to our SRA virtual appliance platform. We now fully support Red Hat OpenShift for deployment of the SRA Virtual appliance - https://docs.beyondtrust.com/pra/docs/va-install#redhat-openshift. The SRA Virtual Appliance v26.1.1 (Base OS version is 8.2) is available for VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V and Nutanix, and now the Red Hat OpenShift platform for local hosting, and also for AWS and Azure cloud marketplaces. The virtual appliances can be deployed in your network as standalone systems or configured for high availability with or without redundancy.
This feature ensures that the BeyondTrust SRA appliance continues to offer the broadest range of supported platforms for on-premise Secure Remote Access appliance deployment. We’ve developed this new support in close partnership with Red Hat, and we’re excited to have this generally available for our mutual customers as of April 2026. The BeyondTrust SRA appliance is a self-contained virtual appliance that contains the operating system, the database, the SRA platform, and the BeyondTrust Privileged Remote Access solution. The SRA v26.1.1 (Base OS version is 8.2) is the virtual version of the SRA appliance and is available for VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V and Nutanix, and now the Red Hat OpenShift platform for local hosting, and also for AWS and Azure cloud marketplaces. The virtual appliances can be deployed in your network as standalone systems or configured for high availability with or without redundancy.
