IBM Fusion is an integrated application hybrid cloud platform for OpenShift that deploys and operates watsonx in mission-critical applications, accelerating AI workloads and modernizing infrastructure with Red Hat OpenShift. 
 

Fusion offers day 2 automation capabilities, simplified patching, and self-service functionalities for developers, along with comprehensive full-stack support for an efficient operational environment. Fusion integrates Windows and Linux Virtual Machines (VMs) within a containerized cloud operating framework, enabling clients to manage both VMs and containers dynamically with their data using a consistent cloud-native operating model
 

The “Fusion 5” data services revolve around persistence and persistent volumes, data resilience, data security, data mobility, and data cataloging. These services are tailored for mission-critical applications, providing clients with comprehensive support for their applications, including backup and restoration, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR).  Fusion’s backup workflow engine enables users to define workflow orchestrations, or ‘recipes’ for performing complex backups. Fusion also offers full backup and backup recipes for the entire watsonx suite.
