The Red Hat Ecosystem Catalog is the official source for discovering and learning more about the Red Hat Ecosystem of both Red Hat and certified third-party products and services.
We’re the world’s leading provider of enterprise open source solutions—including Linux, cloud, container, and Kubernetes. We deliver hardened solutions that make it easier for enterprises to work across platforms and environments, from the core datacenter to the network edge.

Ericsson Packet Core Controller is the new, cloud native control plane signaling processing function in the Ericsson dual-mode 5G Core offering.
The PCC architecture is built around microservices running in containers. This design supports dual-mode operation and allows the software system to adapt to different deployment options. The division of the functionality into microservices also allows for flexible resource allocation, separate scaling and life-cycle management domains.
In the 5GS, the PCC control plane and the PCG user plane functions are separated. The user plane carries the user traffic while the control plane carries the signaling in the network. The separation of the user and control planes enables each plane resource to be scaled independently.
