Mavenir Converged Packet Core provides a mobile core network and is responsible for session management, authentication, mobility, service continuity and security. I
Mavenir Converged Packet Core provides the Architecture as the mobile core network (4G and 5G), which is responsible for session management, authentication, mobility, service continuity and security. It defines an architecture which takes advantage of user and control plane separation to allow greater flexibility in handling heterogeneous devices on multiple access types accessing different applications. In this section, Mavenir’s key principles for delivering a service-based architecture solution are described. These are the foundation to the design of Mavenir WebScale Platform (MWP) and Cloud Native Packet Converged Packet Core solution.
o Stateless Microservices
o Elastically scalable with service migration support
o Service orchestration
o CI/CD
o Configurable infrastructure layer for microservices application
o Service discovery, load balancing, encryption, authentication and
authorization, support for the circuit breaker pattern, and other capabilities
o Proxy instance, called “sidecar”, for each application microservice
o Web-based APIs
o Decoupling application service from the underlying network and platform
infrastructure
o Different functions composed into an end-to-end service over standardized
application programming interfaces
o Portable, extensible open-source platform for managing workloads and
services
o Container-centric management environment
o Platform as a Service (PaaS) with the flexibility of Infrastructure as a Service
(IaaS)
o Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML)
o Service orchestration closed loop policy control
o Better end user service experience
o Accurately configured/adjusted slice resources
o Performance Improvement and Supervision
o Customized Mobility Management
This matrix displays product versions and their claimed compatibility with Red Hat platforms, as provided by the partner through Partner Validations and the Red Hat Certifications.
