Overview

Effnet 5G Open RAN software is a scalable, disaggregated, containerized and platform agnostic software solution with the following components:

Effnet 5G Open RAN DU
Effnet 5G Open RAN CU-CP and CU-UP

The network service providers can provide feature-rich communication services using Effnet 5G Open RAN solution. The solution can scale with number of users, number of cells/DUs, CU-UPs and CU-CPs. The containerization and cloud deployability enable the Software as a Service (SaaS) business model. The flexibility of the solution enables product manufacturers e.g. DU, CU, Satellite, Earth-Station etc to build a small cell with all the RAN components co-located on a single platform or a cloud RAN with RAN components distributed and centralized as required.

Effnet 5G Open RAN DU ("Effnet DU")

Effnet DU provides the critical functionality of resource (cell and bandwidth) scheduling for the users/terminals with quality of service and network slicing capabilities as well as radio link control (RLC), medium access control (MAC) and interface towards CU for radio resource control and RU for radio transmit/receive and RIC for KPI parameters and control functions.
