A load balancer acts as the “traffic cop” sitting in front of your servers and routing client requests across all servers capable of fulfilling those requests in a manner that maximizes speed and capacity utilization and ensures that no one server is overworked, which could degrade performance. 

Samsung CNLB is developed as a Telco grade load balancer which enables network communication for 5G SA Core and its components in a cloud native Service Based Architecture. 

CNLB supports network protocols beyond simple TCP and UDP load balancing. It implements advanced load balancing features for protocols like SCTP, HTTP/HTTP2, PFCP, and GTP-C which are required in the 5G service provider network.
