NetBackup for OpenShift Virtualization is platform-native and specifically designed to protect and optimize application platforms using native Kubernetes constructs with minimal footprints to manage. Data protection is efficient and automatic—NetBackup will dynamically discover namespaces that contain OpenShift Virtualization VMs and protect them automatically with our intelligent policies, reducing the overhead of workload administrators. Data is stored securely off-cluster, protected from ransomware with malware scanning, anomaly detection, immutable storage and instant recovery; and from misuse of administrative credentials with adaptive multi-factor and multi-person authorization. Storage is optimized as data is moved between storage tiers and duplicate data is eliminated.
