Overview

The Antrea-by-Broadcom Operator deploys and manages the Antrea-by-Broadcom CNI plugin for an Openshift cluster. The operator will be deployed as a deployment and it will take care of deploying Antrea-by-Broadcom components: - The antrea-controller deployment - The antrea-agent daemonset The Antrea-by-Broadcom operator uses a dedicated CRD (AntreaInstall) instance for storing configuration parameters for the antrea-controller and the antrea-agent. The operator watches the AntreaInstall CR, applies the corresponding configuration changes and restart the affected pods.

Antrea-by-Broadcom integration for Openshift clusters: The Antrea-by-Broadcom operator allows for dynamically applying configuration changes to every operand component. It also continuously monitor the Openshift network CRD to infer changes in available pod and servive networking CIDRs.
Simplified Antrea-by-Broadcom Configuration: The Antrea-by-Broadcom operator allows for specifying configuration parameters for every Antrea-by-Broadcom component in a single place, and ensures configurations are propagated to the appropriate components.
Continuous component monitoring: The cluster operator CR timely reports the status of pods across operand's deployments and daemonsets, and promptly reports any configuration error which might prevent changes to be correctly implemented on operands.
