Lightspeed Core is a platform designed for building intelligent assistants, leveraging the open-source innovation of the Llama Stack community. Lightspeed core offers a stable API through a deployable, tested stack. Lightspeed core provides commonly needed features for virtual assistants, including LLM inference, Bring-your-own-knowledge, Guardrails, support for MCP servers, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and evaluations.

A stable, tested, and secure software stack.: Lightspeed Core goes through the Red Hat secure software delivery pipeline and is subject to rigorous testing, ensuring a trustworthy foundation for Lightspeed applications.
Out-of-the-box support for MCP, A2A, as well as RAG.: This foundation ensures a consistent and powerful experience across all Lightspeed assistants, enabling them to reliably integrate with existing systems and leverage up-to-date knowledge for enhanced performance.
Extensive support for inference providers.: This capability provides customers with the flexibility to choose the foundational model and inference provider that best suits their needs, including Red Hat AI and third-party options such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, etc.
