In 5G Core (5GC), UDM (Unified Data Management) is the central network function managing user subscription data
In Tejas Networks 5G Core (5GC), UDM (Unified Data Management), acts as the "subscriber brain" — centralizing management of subscriber identity, profiles, and secure authentication to enable flexible, efficient, and advanced 5G services.
UDM interacts with NFs such as AMF, SMF, and AUSF via the Service-Based Interface (SBI) to deliver secure authentication (credential generation, SUCI/SUPI handling), access authorization, support for network slicing (S-NSSAI) and personalized services (QoS/entitlements).
It supports interworking with legacy 4G HSS as defined in 3GPP TS 23.632
UDM serves as the frontend logic layer, with persistent subscriber data stored in the backend UDR. Tejas Networks 5G Core -UDM is Cloud Native Network Function compliant to 3GPP Standards.
Red Hat certified products are tested to meet Red Hat’s criteria and supported as defined in the Red Hat Collaborative Support Process.
Partner validated products are tested by Red Hat Partners and supported as defined in the Red Hat Third Party Component Policy.
