Oracle Communications cnDBTier is organized into three logical microservice groupings:

•  Connectivity—integrates with external entities, provides security (authentication/authorization), and routes/load-balances service-based API requests to the right Business Tier instances.
• Business—runs the NF’s core logic, orchestrates multiple component microservices to deliver end-to-end services, and includes a datastore abstraction/adapter layer supporting multiple data-tier technologies. 
• Data—delivers persistent storage and may include multiple datastore clusters, each independently managed and tuned for distinct capacity and performance needs.

cnDBTier delivers geo-redundant HA,security  and encryption at rest.
