Ericsson Billing is a convergent, cloud-native billing solution for telecom operators, certified on Red Hat OpenShift, combining rich functionality with high configurability for 5G and IoT services.
Ericsson Billing delivers end-to-end customer care, rating, billing and accounting for B2C, B2B and B2B2X business models across mobile, fixed, broadband, TV and IoT services. Designed to capture and secure revenues from legacy and next-generation services, it supports advanced convergence across technologies and standards (TAP/RAP, IMS, 5G, IoT). Deployed cloud-natively on Red Hat OpenShift with Kubernetes-based auto-scaling, Helm charts and cloud-optimized resource usage, it is part of Ericsson's Digital Monetization Platform — pre-integrated with Ericsson Catalog Manager, Order Manager and Ericsson Charging for a complete catalog-to-cash solution.
Supports prepaid/postpaid, consumer, enterprise and partner models (B2C/B2B/B2B2X) with a single converged platform. Handles multiple telecom standards and technologies including TAP/RAP, IMS, 5G and IoT charging scenarios, eliminating the need for separate billing stacks.
Kubernetes-based deployment with horizontal auto-scaling, Helm charts, namespaces, secrets and ingress management. Certified on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform versions 4.14 through 4.18, enabling deployment on private cloud, public cloud or hybrid environments with optimized resource usage and operational resilience.
Fast introduction of new offers and complex business models via catalog-driven configuration and rich rating capabilities. Pre-integrated with Ericsson Catalog Manager and Order Manager as part of the Digital Monetization Platform, enabling rapid time-to-market for new 5G and digital services.
Supports native (bare metal), virtualized (VM) and cloud-native deployments. Verified and certified on major infrastructure stacks including Red Hat OpenShift, AWS, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Dell Telecom Infrastructure Blocks (DTIB), giving operators freedom of choice in their infrastructure strategy.
Comprehensive security framework with dedicated Hardening Guides for both native and cloud-native deployments. Supports TLS 1.3, identity management (PingAM/Keycloak), certificate management and role-based access control. Integrated monitoring and logging via Elastic Stack for stable day-2 operations.

Ericsson Billing Cloud-Native is certified on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (RHOCP) versions 4.14 through 4.18 (all versions validated). Deployments run on x86_64/AMD64 with RHEL CoreOS workers. Check the latest EB Cloud Evolution documentation for any newly certified versions beyond 4.18.
Yes. Ericsson Billing Cloud-Native supports deployment on Red Hat OpenShift in private cloud environments (as demonstrated by Magenta Telekom Austria), public cloud (AWS, OCI) and hybrid configurations. It also supports Dell Telecom Infrastructure Blocks (DTIB) based on Red Hat OpenShift for on-premises telecom infrastructure.
Ericsson Billing exposes SOAP/REST (TMP-API) and CORBA-based SOI interfaces. In cloud-native deployments, REST/SOAP APIs are natively supported, while CORBA-based SOI APIs work within the Kubernetes cluster. An OpenShift integration VM can bridge EB pods with external legacy systems. EB is pre-integrated with Ericsson Catalog Manager, Order Manager and Ericsson Charging as part of the Digital Monetization Platform.
