Infoblox integrates with Ansible Automation Platform
Infoblox acts as a single source of truth for networks and devices. Infoblox Network Identity Operating System (NIOS) collection allows network professionals to overcome the burden of maintaining a static registry of devices. It provides network professionals a centralized and highly efficient way to manage containerized workloads deployed across multiple platforms and DDI automation of virtual machines (VMs). These efficiencies include:
- Whenever a new VM or host joins the network, Ansible Automation Platform receives the next available IP address from Infoblox DDI and assigns that address to the new VM or host.
- When a VM or host is destroyed, the IP address of the VM is returned to the pool of unused addresses.
- Creating a host record in Infoblox DDI.
- Adding or removing network views.
- Managing DNS views, DNS zones, host records, and networks in a predictable way.
- Managing and configuring Infoblox DNS Traffic Control (DTC) server records, pools, and load-balanced domain name objects.
