Utilizing the Intel^® Processor N97 CPU, and supporting the full Intel^® Processor N-series range, the FWS-2290 grants up to 8 cores of computing power at just 15W. Additionally, the platform offers integrated security for applications such as UTM and VPN through the inclusion of Intel^® Control-Flow Enforcement Technology (CET), AES-NI, and Virtualization Technology for Directed I/O, accelerating encryption and decryption and reinforcing software vulnerabilities when managing large volumes of network traffic.

Faster, More Robust Networking

The FWS-2290 boasts four LAN ports supporting Intel^® Ethernet Controller I226-V at 2.5GbE with LAN bypass, granting multiple avenues for fast, reliable wired connectivity. Moreover, the device’s onboard LPDDR5 provides greater speed and lower latency, facilitating the parallel data processing required by firewall, VPN, and intrusion detection applications without impacting network throughput.

Modular Wireless Expansion

The expansion offered by the FWS-2290 open the door to more flexible networking solutions, with M.2 E and B-Key slots providing both Wi-Fi and 5G support, in addition to a co-layed mini card for 4G/LTE connectivity.
