Easily install and manage Dell’s CSI Drivers and CSM
Dell Container Storage Modules
Dell Container Storage Modules (CSM) Operator is a Kubernetes Operator that can be used to install and manage Dell’s CSI drivers and CSM modules for Dell PowerScale, Dell PowerFlex, Dell PowerStore, Dell PowerMax and Dell Unity XT. By using Dell CSM Operator, enterprises can quickly and easily deploy the Authorization and Replication CSM modules for PowerScale, making it easy for DevOps teams to build and optimize their Kubernetes workloads using enterprise-grade storage while consistently aligning with the desired outcomes of the organization.
This operator is available as a community operator for both upstream Kubernetes and Openshift. The operator can be deployed via OperatorHub.io. using Operator Lifecycle Manager (OLM).
Dell Container Storage Modules Operator is built using the operator framework and runs custom Kubernetes controllers to manage the driver installations. These drivers managed by the Dell Container Storage Modules Operator handle the provisioning operations requested by the user.
Dell Container Storage Modules Operator uses Kubernetes CRDs (Custom Resource Definitions) to define a manifest that describes the deployment specifications for each driver to be deployed. These controllers listen for any create/update/delete request for the respective CRDs and try to reconcile the request.
