AKO Operator is responsible for deploying and managing AKO controller which is used as an Ingress Controller in an Openshift cluster. It monitors a custom resource called AKOConfig which holds the parameters to deploy an AKO Controller. Depending on the right parameters in the AKOConfig, the AKO operator creates a configmap, statefulset and required RBACs. It also creates the custom resource definitions(CRDs) required by AKO. It also monitors the AKOConfig for any changes and updates the manifests appropriately.
