HiRDB Version 10

HiRDB supporting mission-critical systems

Overview

The IT infrastructure that supports the stable operation of vital social and economic infrastructure and those systems must continue to process large volumes of data 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, without stopping or malfunctioning. In addition, highly reliable database management systems are required to meet the needs in on-premise environments and in public clouds.

HiRDB, a non-stop database management system, has been used in mission-critical systems, mainly by public organizations and financial institutions, as a database management system supporting social infrastructure. HiRDB's main features are high reliability to continue operations even in case of failure, maintainability to provide 24/7/365 service, and complete product support, including an upward compatibility guarantee.

Support for Container Technology

It supports environments on containers managed by Red Hat OpenShift. This allows you to take advantage of the agility of containers to streamline your business development. It also improves the ease of migration to cloud environments.

Fast failover on public cloud

It supports hot standby in HiRDB environments on public clouds and provides fast failover capabilities. This allows on-premise HiRDB environments to take over reliability when lifting to the cloud.

Online database reorganization on public cloud

This solution provides a function (inner replica facility) to execute database reorganization while continuing online operations in a HiRDB environment on a public cloud. This enables a lift to the cloud without changing the operational procedures of the on-premise HiRDB environment.
